Came across a user that deleted a re-ocurring appointment but was still getting reminders. When she tried to remove the reminder, she got a Dismiss operation failed error. After doing some searching, came across a post that did the trick.
Add another tally to the resolved section ;-)
- download and run the MFCMapi tool
Go to Session -> Logon and Display Store Table
Select your profile
Right click Mailbox and choose "Open Store"
Expand "Root Container"
Right click "Reminders" and select "Open Contents Table"
A new window will launch with the title of "Reminders"
Select the offending item and delete the message
Close MFCMAPI
Add another tally to the resolved section ;-)
