Convince Your Boss Letters
I'd like to attend BlackBerry DevCon Americas from October 18-20 in San Francisco, California, because I believe my attendance will offer insert company name here real value and return on the investment. This conference is a chance to mix with BlackBerry experts, get technology questions answered and stay on top of the latest development tools. For our organization, being a part of this conference would:
- Help me work faster on new BlackBerry initiatives because I will have trained on the latest developer tools first hand, like BlackBerry WebWorks, APIs, BlackBerry Messenger SDK, BlackBerry 7, and the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet
- Show me best practices that will assist with our development projects because I will have a better understanding of the options for connecting to our back end infrastructure, deploying apps, and how to use web services to our advantage
- Get me up to speed on not just developing apps, but how our team can come up with multi-endpoint strategies using web technologies
- Inspire me and our team by looking at what other companies are doing and how their approaches could benefit our company
- Help me learn how to develop Super Apps that do more for our staff while they work away from the office
- Put me in touch the best of the best in the industry — from Research In Motion (RIM) leaders to partners and colleagues — so I can ask questions and see if they've solved challenges we face
- Show off what our company has already done with the BlackBerry solution to represent our forward looking approach to using technology
As a company that makes the BlackBerry solution a critical part of our business, I believe this is an opportunity that we can't afford to miss. The knowledge and expertise that I can bring back to improve our mobilization plans and share with the team is priceless.
There are several breakout sessions that are dedicated to enterprise developers like me. Here is some of the content I can learn at the conference:
- DEV22 — Mobile Application Architecture: How Do I Start?
- DEV23 — So You Think You Understand Mobile Web Services
- DEV24 — Tips for Successfully Managing Mobile Development Projects
- DEV54 — Opening Up the Enterprise App Market
- COM01 — Enterprise Application Development Made Easy: The PricewaterhouseCoopers Story

Error when opening the Exchange 2007 Management Console
Getting this error when opening the MMC for Exchange 2007:

Error:

After doing some research, the reason was because I was missing the cluster management tools as my Exchange Mailbox servers are in a CCR cluster. Makes sense <g>
